Lot 68 Canada #24iv 1868 2c Green Large Queen on Unwatermarked Bothwell Paper, a mint sheet margin block of six with full original gum on all stamps, with sensible hinge reinforcing between all stamps, re-attached horizontally. This remarkable block still retains its left sheet selvedge, showing the rare full imprint of the B.A.B.N. Co. The stamps are very fine centered. A rare Large Queen multiple with the six singles cataloguing $18,000 alone. Rsv. $4,600. Estimate $5,000, sold for C$10,000.00 plus 17% buyer’s premium.

Lot 327 Great Britain #5 1847 1sh green Queen Victoria Embossed Imperforate, Die 2, Unwatermarked, a lovely used block of four, with 1844-type numeral cancels and ample to close margins, bright colour on fresh paper, very fine. Deep embossing and two vertical silk threads through each stamp. Accompanied by a 2017 BPA certificate stating “creases and small split at top of stamp 2, small natural exclusion at foot”.
