Lot 374, New Brunswick 1860 ten cent Victoria small die proof, sold for $1,035
Lot 374 New Brunswick #9TCi 1860 10c Queen Victoria Small Die Proof in black, on India paper, with four large margins, quite fresh and rare. Minuse & Pratt #9TC1. Undervalued in Unitrade in our opinion due to its rarity and the fact that it is almost never offered for sale. Accompanied by a 2016 Greene Foundation certificate. Unitrade CV$1,000, sold for $900 plus buyer’s premium.

Has some vertical creases and corner crease, but a very scarce item. Estimate $100, sold for $275 plus buyer’s premium.
Lot 253, Canada 1927 5c D’Arcy McGee, imperf XF NH block of 20, sold for $3,450
Another of the part-perforate blocks from the 1927 Confederation series:
Lot 253 Canada #146b 1927 5c violet D’Arcy McGee, Imperforate Vertically, mint never hinged upper sheet margin Plate A2 block of 20. The selvedge at top shows a full printer’s imprint plus a cutting arrow at right. A lovely and very rare large multiple, as the Unitrade catalogue footnote states that regular VF NH plate blocks are rare, and that part-perforate plate blocks are very rare, with only 5-10 of any value known. Unitrade also adds that Jephcott and Gates have reported only 250 pairs only of each perforation variety. Fresh and extremely fine. Unitrade CV$3,840, sold for $3,000 plus buyer’s premium.
