Lot 360 Great Britain #O10 1885 brown violet £1 Queen Victoria, Overprinted “I. R. OFFICIAL”, unused (no gum) and well centered. Accompanied by a 2016 P.T.S. Expertizing (Surrey, GB) certificate stating “thin at bottom left, diagonal crease on letter “F” top right corner, stained and soiled”. Two small ownership handstamps on back. Lot 327 Great Britain #5 1847 1sh green Queen Victoria Embossed Imperforate, Die 2, Unwatermarked, a lovely used block of four, with 1844-type numeral cancels and ample to close margins, bright colour on fresh paper, very fine. Deep embossing and two vertical silk threads through each stamp. Accompanied by a 2017 BPA certificate stating “creases and small split at top of stamp 2, small natural exclusion at foot”.
