JUN.26.1880 to New Zealand, via Toronto, Windsor and San Francisco (where it was delayed for 28 days). Received at Nelson, New Zealand on AUG.28.1880. Cover is open on three sides, Ex Horrace Harrison, fabricated by him, illustrated on p. 337 of his book and still on one of his exhibit pages. Estimate $150, realized $1350 plus premium.

Lot 1301 — Canada cover SFL Kingston to Wetherby, England, sold for $173
Lot 1301 Canada 1821 Kingston U.C to Wetherby England SFL, originated at Kingston on JUL.15.1821, likely passed through United States at Cape Vincent and picked up by a ship to Liverpool at New York City. Back has a black “Liverpool Ship Letter” handstamp and front has a few manuscript rate markings. Includes a long interesting letter, very fine. Estimate $50, sold for $150 plus premium.
Lot 333 — Canada seven cent Admiral die proof in unissued orange colour, realized $1265
One of many good realizations from the Hillside Collection of Canada Admirals, this one a discovery.
Lot 333 Canada #113P 1912 7c Admiral Die Proof, on India on card, in unissued orange colour, measuring 39 x 24 mm. Die number and 23 mm printer’s imprint at bottom. Only two proofs in this colour are recorded, both were in the Christie sale of ABN proof material. Not mentioned in Minuse and Pratt or on Library and Archives web site. There are two diagonal creases and two nicks at top and right, still a major Admiral rarity. Estimate $500, SOLD for $1,100 plus premium.
