Lot 161, Canada 1898 one cent green Numeral mint strip of ten with plate inscription, sold for C$380Lot 161 Canada #75 1898 1c green Queen Victoria Numeral, a mint plate strip of ten from top of sheet, showing the full Plate No. 11 inscription at top. The strip has been separated in the middle, and sensibly hinge reinforced, and because the right selvedge was once folded onto the gum, the rightmost stamp has gum disturbance, leaving 7 never hinged stamps. Catalogued as overall fine. Unitrade CV $382, sold for C$325.00 plus 17% buyer’s premium.

Lot 652, Canada 1899 twelve cent "AR" registered cover Montreal to New OrleansLot 652 Canada #76, 79 1899 12c “AR” Registered Cover to New Orleans, mailed Montreal (squared circle precursor AUG.9.1899) to New Orleans Louisiana (AUG.13 receiver on front), franked with two 5c plus a 2c purple Numerals (paying 2c postage, 5c registration and 5c “avis de réception” or acknowledgement of receipt), stamps are tied by oval Rs and there is a rare free strike of an “AR” in circle. Stamps have faults and cover with small tears and light stains, still a rare and early AR cover. Ex. Liptak collection. Estimate C$300.
