Lot 1226 Montreal (Type 4 Jubilee Flag), Five stroke Die. The Five Stroke die combined with a dater normally associated with the B Ensign, cancelling a 3c Jubilee on a lovely cover addressed to Berlin (Ont.) According to owner, only four examples of this unusual Hub and Flag association on cover have been reported. From the Robert Heasman Collection of Early Canadian Machine Cancellations. Lot 1178 Canada #50-55 group of fourteen Jubilee covers and cards, nice variety in this lot, with rates, frankings and postmarks, including squared circles. We counted five registered covers, one with a three-colour franking, a lovely colour illustrated advertising private PC (stamp sulphuretted), three uprated letter cards, a few combination frankings with Small Queen or Leaf issues, and more.
