The Five Stroke die combined with a dater normally associated with the B Ensign, cancelling a 3c Jubilee on a lovely cover addressed to Berlin (Ont.) According to owner, only four examples of this unusual Hub and Flag association on cover have been reported. From the Robert Heasman Collection of Early Canadian Machine Cancellations. Estimate $1,000, sold for C$1,450.00 plus 17% buyer’s premium.
