Lot 961Lot 961 Greece #8a 1862 1l dark chocolate Hermes Head, Athens Printing, used, with #1 in lozenge of dots (Athens), four margins (close at right), very fine. Accompanied by a 2014 Sergio Sismondo certificate stating in part “the stamp presents an extraordinary plate flaw… located in the medallion, directly at upper right of the Hermean helmet.” Scott CV$1,325, sold for $250 plus buyer’s premium.

Lot 373 — Canada 1929 Laurentide Air Service flight cover, sold for $219

Lot 373Lot 373 Canada #CL2 1929 Sioux Lookout to Red Lake Flight Cover, mailed on May 27, with a duplex cancelling the 2c Scroll issue and a c.d.s. tying the CL2 stamp to front of cover. Back has a May 31 Sioux Lookout c.d.s. and a blue green Red Lake c.d.s. dated May 30. Back also has a purple Travel by Air, etc handstamp. Very fine. Unitrade CV$275, sold for $190 plus buyer’s premium.
