Harrington, Air Pilot, Red Lake Gold Fields. The cover is franked with a CL6 tied by a blue double oval reading “Jack V. Elliot Air Service / Red Lake Gold District / MAR.30.1926” plus 1c, 4c and 8c Admirals. Back shows Regina and Winnipeg c.d.s. datestamps plus a small handstamp reading “RCM / AIR FIELD”. Reduced at right and vertical crease away from the stamps, still interesting and fine. Estimate $150, sold for C$300.00 plus 17% buyer’s premium.

A Patricia Airways corner card cover flown from Toronto to Red Lake on DEC.18.1926. Back of cover shows a map of the flight path and is franked with a CL13, tied by Red Lake postmark dated DEC.20. The red FED signature on the stamp is from F.E. Davidson, the company’s financier. A rarely offered cover, very fine. Unitrade CV C$1,850.

Back has a May 31 Sioux Lookout c.d.s. and a blue green Red Lake c.d.s. dated May 30. Back also has a purple Travel by Air, etc handstamp. Very fine. Unitrade CV$275, sold for $190 plus buyer’s premium.
