Lot 739 Victoria 1868 Upnor C.W on Large Queen Cover, mailed on OCT.12.1868 (manuscript broken circle is the only recorded date for this post office), and franked with a strip of three 1c Large Queens (small stain on middle stamp) to Toronto. The Upnor post office was only open from 1865 to 1870 and this is the only known postmark from there. Estimate C$200, sold for C$650.00 plus 17% buyer’s premium.
