Lot 484, Canada 1894 illustrated colour post card, Hamilton to HagersvilleLot 484 Canada 1894 Fully Illustrated Colour Post Card, a 1c Queen Victoria card mailed from Hamilton to Hagersville, with a fully illustrated advertising on back for the Hamilton Coffee and Spice Co., depicting a very colourful butterfly with its open wings showing some of the companies’ wares. A rare and very fine example of early colour illustrated advertising cards, would also be ideal for a butterfly thematic collection or exhibit. Estimate $150.

The folded letter (missing part of letter) is franked with a 10d blue Cartier imperforate on thin crisp paper, with large to huge margins, very fine. Ex Dale-Lichtenstein collection and purchased by the current owner in the Eaton & Sons “Rarity Auction” (ex K. Bileski Pence collection) in June 1995. Accompanied by a 1978 British Philatelic Association certificate. Unitrade CV$3,000.

Lot 307, British Columbia 1958 fifty cent Law Stamp with orange omitted, block of four with Penticton/Registry date stampsLot 307 British Columbia #BCL48a 1958 50c Law Stamp with Orange Colour Omitted, a used block of four tied to piece of mortgage document by two oval PENTICTON / REGISTRY datestamps (JUL.24.1958), the block has one normal stamp and three with the orange colour omitted. An extremely rare error, with only one sheet of 25 believed to have been printed, and most ideal presented in this way. A must have for any revenue collector and certainly would be a highlight of any collection. van Dam CV$4,500.
