Lot 581 Canada #46, 47, F2 1893 5c RLS Pair of Registered Covers with 20c and 50c Widow Weeds to Germany, both mailed from Niagara Falls on JUN.28.1893 to Dresden Germany with JUL.10 receivers, through Hamilton JUN.29 and London JUL.8. One cover is franked with a 5c RLS and a 20c, the other with a 5c RLS and a 50c Widow Weeds, all cancelled by the sale Niagara Falls cork. Owner believes the 20c cover to be the earliest known use. A stunning pair of covers, very fine and ex Bob Jamieson. Estimate $3,000.
