Lot 1893, Northeast China mint collection on album pages, sold for C$4,680Lot 1893 People’s Republic of China (Northeast China), valuable mint collection on album pages, with each stamp in a black mount, we note many complete sets, a souvenir sheet (1L44a, $475), as well as many extras such as paper varieties, blocks of four and pairs, different shades, perforations, watermarks, surcharge varieties, printing varieties (such as some “tall chimney” on 1L125 and 1L130 both in blocks of 20, pairs and blocks of 4). The pages also include a section for reprints, so many of the stamps that were reprinted are present in both original and reprint formats. The varieties listed above which are not listed in Scott were counted as regular stamps only. A lovely, clean and fresh collection, see scans for a small sample. The lot also includes one each of the four overprinted Jubilee labels (unused). Some have wrinkles, still a rare offering, all scanned online and signed by Stephen Smith.
