Among several other interesting items we noted the 1958 Heroes Monument souvenir sheet ** Scott #344a (CV $275), two copies of the Flowers set Scott #542-59 used (CV $120 each), the Mountains set Scott #716-31 (CV $206), many of the valuable Chairman Mao Speeches sets 1966-67 including Scott #957-9 used (CV$490). Not to be overlooked is the North East China section with the Chairman Mao with flag set Scott #1L37-40 (CV $170) among other valuable sets. Faults noted on some, see scans for a sample. Also a number of pieces of “On Board” mail. Note one card flown in 1912 and then re-flown on the Graf Zeppelin in 1931. Also note a “Meteor” post card and other desirable items. Has the usual Bremen “KATAPULTFLUG” cachet for this flight. Addressed to Stephen Smith, the dean of Indian Air mail, and good friend of Mr. Pont, in Calcutta, India, and signed by him on back (in 1929).
