Lot 811 Canada #4d 1852 3d Beaver on folded letter, mailed at Port Burwell U.C (double broken circle manuscript dated 31 DEC 52), franked with a 3d orange red Beaver on thin paper (four large margins, close at right bottom), not tied, but cancelled by a target cancel, addressed to Brantford (blue receiver) through Simcoe (datestamp on back). A fine cover. Unitrade CV$300, sold for $525 plus buyer’s premium.

Lot 682 Macao 259/267 1931-1933 1a to 20a Surcharged Overprints, Ceres type surcharged 1a-5a, 15a-20a (Scott US #259-262, 266-267) are fresh and never hinged, centering ranges from almost fine to very fine. Scott US CV is for hinged. Market pricing suggest a factor of about 3 times for never hinged. Also included but not counted in CV is #263, off-center, gum lightly disturbed, light crease. Scott CV US$175, sold for $240 plus buyer’s premium.
