Lot 3, Canada 1851 three penny redbeaver on laid paper, major re-entry, used F-VFLot 3 Canada #1iii 1851 3d red Beaver Imperforate, on Laid Paper, with Major Re-Entry, used with light target cancel and clear laid lines, four margins, showing part of the next stamp at top but close at left, fine-very fine. This scarce stamp is from position A-47 and clearly shows doubling in several areas. Accompanied by a 1964 B.P.A. certificate. Unitrade CV$2,250.

Lot 1424, Great Britain 1846 cover to Saint John New Brunswick

Lot 1424 Great Britain 1846 Cover to New Brunswick, franked with six copies of #4, being a single, a pair and a strip of three (Scott Specialized CV for stamps alone in these configurations is $600, and much more on cover). Mailed from Port Arlington (lovely blue c.d.s. dated MAY.12.1846 on front) to “St John’s” (with receiver dated JU?) and two transit datestamps MY 13 and MY 14. There is also a black straightline “MORE TO PAY” on front, beside a fancy “2” due marking. A very clean and attractive cover. Estimate C$150.

Lot 625, New Brunswick 1859 six pence bisect folded cover Saint John to Edmundston

Lot 625 New Brunswick #2b 1859 6d Bisect on Folded Cover, mailed from St John’s on APR.27.1859 to Edmundston (APR.29 receiver) through Woodstock (APR.28 transit). This folded cover (no letter inside) is franked with a 6d olive yellow, bisected to make up the 3d rate. It is well tied by two #1 oval grid obliterators. A very clean cover, with two vertical file folds (one running through stamp) with two expert signatures including a Pfenninger (Munich) handstamp on front and Jakubek (Hamburg). Unitrade CV$4,500.
