Lot 939 Canada Collection of Lacelle Listed Fancy Cancels, with 120 different, all displayed on black stock sheets, we noted mostly Small Queens (to the 20c) but also at least 7 Large Queens, Registration stamps, Maps, etc with many early shades and also many desirable postmarks, some quite elaborate. A very nice collection with many choice stamps, all scanned online. Estimate $1,000, sold for C$1,000.00 plus 17% buyer’s premium.
Lot 101, Canada 1874-98 ten cent Small Queen calendar collection, sold for C$3,159
Lot 101 Canada #40, 45, etc. Lovely Calendar Collection of the 10c Small Queen Value, with a total of 107 fully dated stamps (111 if you count the two pairs and strip of three), ranging from DEC.23.1874 to JUL.9.1898. We note six #40e (pale milky rose lilac, perf 11½ x 12), other shades of the 11½ x 12 perf, several magenta shades, at least one “pitted 0” variety (dated DEC.5.1893), and so on. The collector has carefully identified each stamp with date, postmark, perforation measurement, Shoemaker paper type, etc. A very difficult collection to assemble, especially in this nice quality and with all stamps fully dated. All are scanned online. Estimate $3,000, sold for C$2,700.00 plus 17% buyer’s premium.

Lot 937 Lovely Collection of 2-Ring Numerals on Canada Large Queens and Small Queens, all displayed more or less in order of number on four quadrille pages (all scanned online) with a good variety of different numbers on different stamps. We counted 36 Large Queens and 73 Small Queens with a better than average quality of strikes, and most numbers are easily identifiable .Also includes a faked #42 (made out of a #12), some strikes struck through silk, a good potential for different instruments, etc. A very nice lot for the collector who seeks quality strikes and stamps (a few stamps may have faults). Unchecked by us for better numbers. Estimate $500, sold for C$900.00 plus 17% buyer’s premium.

Lot 250 Canada #44ii 1895 8c Small Queen with Major Re-Entry on Cover, mailed from Maitland, Ont. (MAY.3.1895 free strike broken circle) to Floral Park, NY, with hand made “R” handstamp, franked with a single 8c to pay the registered rate. The stamp has the major-re-entry, visible in the left “8”, under CENTS, oval under Queen’s neck, and a few other places, very fine. Ex. John Hillson.
