Lot 1021 Canada #A13-P5 1950 proof of issued stamp in black on white chalk- coated paper, approximately 30 x 150mm. The adopted design had more shading removed to allow airplane and “Postes/Postage” to be seen more readily. Very fine. Lot 1121 Newfoundland #87-88 1911 OHMS Mourning Cover to USA, legal size postmarked 24 Jan 1911 from St John’s with #87a (2) and 88 of the 1910 John Guy issue to Philadelphia. Has an embossed coat of arms on the reverse along with more black mourning lines. A scarce official item, in memory of King Edward VII. Vertical crease, else fine and attractive.
