The 50c War Tax is an elusive stamp, and is rarely found in the superlative quality of the example from the Outaouais Collection. The Unitrade catalogue keeps increasing the NH premium factor for this stamp, and auction realizations for premium examples keep supporting a higher valuation. Lot 474 Canada #120b 1925 50c black brown Admiral Imperforate, a mint never hinged horizontal pair, fresh and extremely fine. Both stamps show a tiny horizontal gum disturbance, not mentioned in the certificate, which should not detract. A rare and desirable Admiral item, with only 100 stamps known, and the first example we have handled. Accompanied by a 2018 Greene Foundation certificate. Rsv. C$5,600. Unitrade $8,000.
