Franked with two 2c Edward and a 1c Admiral, for 5c. A bit roughly opened at top, still a very rare destination in any period. Estimate $200, sold for C$400 plus buyer’s premium.

Lot 298 Canada #MR4a 1916 2c + 1c brown Admiral War Tax, Die I, mint plate strip of three with left stamp never hinged and two others hinged. Partial plate inscription at bottom reads “937A.” Overall very fine, with left stamp being extremely fine never hinged (and catalogues $3,000 by itself). Accompanied by a 2015 Greene Foundation certificate. A rare plate multiple, especially this nice. Unitrade CV C$5,000.
