Lot 463, Canada 1924 two cent yellow green Admiral coil vertical pair with transfer roll flaw, VF NH

Lot 463, Canada 1924 two cent yellow green Admiral coil vertical pair with transfer roll flaw, VF NHLot 463 Canada #133ii 1924 2c Yellow Green Admiral Coil, Perf 12 Horizontally, vertical pair showing the “Transfer roll flaw in N of CENTS” on both stamps, and with bottom stamp also showing an extended frameline at bottom right corner (potentially a retouch), nicely centered, mint never hinged, fresh and very fine. This type of variety or flaw, similar to the “diagonal line in” varieties on the 7c red brown, has now been called “Vertical Band Flaws” by the BNAPS Admirals study group, and is still being actively researched by specialists in term of cause, plates and specific positions on plates. A lovely item for the Admiral specialist, as the presence of the flaw and the extended frameline could allow someone to finally confirm the specific plate from which the 2c green endwise coil was printed. Unitrade CV$1,500.
