Lot 174 Canada #30vi 1868 15c grey Large Queen with “Balloon Flaw”, used with ideal and lovely strike of Victoria BC, dated NOV.4.1897. The plate flaw is from position 97. A big stamp with large margins and a pressed-out vertical crease, with very fine plus appearance. Catalogue value is for fine only, unpriced for very fine. Unitrade CV$500.

Lot 91, Canada 1900 seven cent Numeral Registered cover Québec to SingaporeBack of Lot 91, Canada 1900 seven cent Numeral Registered cover Québec to SingaporeLot 91 Canada 1900 7c Empire Registered Rate Numeral Cover to Singapore, a 1c QV stationery envelope mailed from St. Roch de Québec (FEB.9 c.d.s. free strike) to Singapore, Straits Settlements (MAR.18 receiver) through Québec City (FEB.9 transit) and London, England (FEB.22 oval registration transit). The cover was uprated with a single 6c QV Numeral to pay for the 2c Imperial Penny Postage rate plus the 5c registration fee. Combinations or uprating were necessary to pay this rate until the 7c Numeral was issued in December 1902. Very fine and ex Horace Harrison (2000) and Don Shorting. Estimate C$750.

Lot 1437, 1929 Baron von Koenig Calcutta to Singapore, Osaka and Tokyo flight cover, sold for C$1,755Lot 1437 1929.JUN.10 Baron von Keonig Calcutta to Singapore then Osaka to Tokyo Flight Cover, mailed unfranked and assessed 2a postage due in Calcutta (handstamp on front), with yellow flight label and “KAMERAD” purple flight cachet, addressed to Stephen Smith in Calcutta with a JUN.10 receiver on back alongside Smith signature and JUN.10 date. This is one of the few rare items missing in Mr. Pont’s personal collection, and we could not find any evidence of number of items flown. Couple of small faults still very fine appearance. Estimate $300, sold for C$1,500.00 plus 17% buyer’s premium.

This cover was signed by the pilot Flight Lieutenant D.F. Anderson. Very fine and rare, with only ten items flown. From the Leon Victor Pont Collection of early India First Flight postal history. Estimate $500, sold for C$4,400.00 plus 17% buyer’s premium.

The card has all the appropriate labels and handstamps (front and back, both scanned online). Very fine and rare, according to Mr. Pont one cover and 25 cards were carried.
