Those who seek out high quality Canada will be well treated in this sale. Our Canada section is highlighted by several advanced mint collections, offering high quality singles, blocks and large multiples, from the Classics to modern era, many being extremely fine and accompanied by certificates. A further highlight is a special section dedicated to the Rob Lunn International award-winning exhibit and collection of the Imperial Penny Postage “Map Stamp”, and its postal history.

Worldwide highlights include advanced collections of early Great Britain stamps and postal history, lovely early Australia and States, and an impressive selection of quality singles and sets of the British Commonwealth, including the continuation of our perforated SPECIMEN offerings.

Enthusiasts of Canada & BNA postal history will find fifty lots from an exciting specialized collection of Canadian air mail and first flights, many early stampless covers, New Brunswick postal history, extensive postmark lots including strong squared circle collections, and much more.

We are particularly pleased to offer 250 lots from the John Nalon “Gananoque” collection, which features consistently high quality stamps and postal history of Canada. Detailed photos of his entire collection can be found on our website.

We are also proud to offer the Jack Gray collection of topicals. Jack was proud of the fact that he collected over 200 different topicals, ranging from extensive representations of birds and ships, to less commonly-seen topics like umbrellas or handshakes. Sparks Auctions is pleased to offer them all in our Topicals section, with items offered in other sections being denoted by “JG”.

We are continuously grateful for the support of collectors who turn to us to find new philatelic gems. While many in our industry continue to raise their buyers premiums as high as 23%, we continue to hold to a modest 15%. Bidders will also note that any items offered subject to a reserve price are denoted by a “Rsv.” notation in the description. Unless the reserve has already been exceeded during pre-sale bidding, these lots will open at one increment below the reserve.

Those who can’t view our sale in person are invited to bid on stampauctionnetwork.com. Meanwhile, here on our site you can find sale updates, amendments and other useful information about bidding or consigning.

Enjoy the sale!
