Lot 657 Canada #15, 21 1868 6c Cross Border Lady’s Cover with cents / Large Queen Mixed Franking, mailed from Peterboro (AUG.8.1868 Berri duplexes) to Oswego, New York and franked with the unusual combination of a five cent Beaver plus two ½c Large Queens, paying the proper 6c cross border rate. Slight reduction at left does not detract, with light offsets on back, still very fine and rare, with only one other similar franking known, according to the Firby census. Ex.
