Two nice used ten pence Cartiers, one on folded letter ex-Cantor.

151257a Lot 20 Canada #7 1855 10d blue Cartier, on thin, translucent paper. Used, with centrally struck target cancel. Perfectly centered amongst four large, even margins and very fine. Accompanied by a 2014 Richard Gratton AIEP certificate. Unitrade CV$2,500

151258a Lot 21 Canada #7 1855 10d blue Cartier on Folded Letter, mailed Quebec City on JUL.11.1859 (just into Cents era) and addressed to London, England (red AUG.1.1859 receiver on front) and carried there on the Cunard Asia. Stamp, which has two large and two close margins, is tied by a 4-ring #37 numeral. File folds as usual, else fine. Ex. Cantor and accompanied by a 2011 Greene Foundation certificate. Lot 1703 — Canada Three Penny Beaver on mourning cover, deep red with major re-entry

Canada #4 CoverLot 1703 Canada #4vii 1856 3d deep red Beaver with Major Re-Entry on Cover. Stamp has four margins, with very clear pos. 47 re-entry and is tied to lovely mourning cover sent Québec DEC.27.1856 to Montreal same day arrival on back. Light stain on front caused by wax seal on back, else very fine and scarce. Accompanied by 1984 Greene Foundation certificate on which it is written in pencil that this was lot 587 in Maresch sale 168/69 which then sold for $1,600 plus 15%. Ex-Cantor. Unitrade CV$1,800
