Canada (belt buckle type of datestamp JULY 28 1817) to Joel Stone at Gananaqui River. Stone is the recognized founder of the town of Gananoque. The letter describes the purchase of some land in Burford and is rated “1N3½” corrected to “1N2” and is endorsed by Stone as being “The Attorney’s Arrogant Answer to my Letter to him…”.
