Lot 372 1899 Registered Special Delivery Cover, being a Walker House illustrated advertising cover mailed from Toronto to Bridgeton NJ on JAN.16.1899, through Boston (JAN.18 transit on back). Franked with a block of four of the 2c Map (these overpaying the 2c + 5c registration rate by 1c), plus a green 10c Special Delivery. Special delivery to the US had to be prepaid with a US SD stamp or 10c worth of regular US postage stamps in order to obtain the service, and in this case the Canadian 10c would pay only for Canadian service.
