Margins range from a sheet margin at bottom (including part of an imprint) to large on three other sides, showing part of adjoining stamp at right, extremely fine. Lot 665 British Columbia & Vancouver Island #1 1860 2½d dull rose Queen Victoria Imperforate, unused (no gum), quite fresh and with four large margins. The stamp has a small filled-in thin, still a lovely and very fine appearing example of this sought after first stamp of Vancouver Island. The stamp has partially erased expert signatures on back, including that of Alberto Diena, and is accompanied by a 1989 Philatelic Foundation certificate. Rsv. 5,500. Unitrade CV$24,000.
