Lot 310 — Canada 1912 ten cent plum Admiral lathework block of eight, realized $7590

Lot 310Lot 310 Canada #16 1912 10c plum Admiral Lathework Block of 8. Mint never hinged, from bottom right of pane (straight edge at right), and with the three left most stamps having the full lathework (Type A). Position 100 stamp has Plate A8 inscription as well as a clear cutting arrow. A remarkably fresh block with all stamps being very fine centered, and a showpiece. Lot 292 — Canada three cent brown Admiral mint block of four, realized $575

Lot 292Lot 292 Canada #108 1918 3c brown Admiral Block of Four, with sheet margin at right showing a centering cross at top. Mint, top two stamps hinged and adjoining selvedge reinforced, bottom two stamps never hinged but diagonal crease on right stamp. Ex. Lum and very fine. Estimate $200, sold for $500 plus buyer’s premium.

Lot 338 — Canada 1915 Five cent blue Admiral War Tax overprint, MNH, sold for $1150

The previous lot with a very similar stamp, colour perhaps not as deep, but Ex. Lum and accompanied by a 2013 Richard Gratton AIEP certificate, sold for $604.

Lot 295 — Canada three cent brown Admiral on very thin wove paper, sold for $345

Lot 295Lot 295 Canada #108var 3c brown Admiral Printed on a Very Thin Wove Paper (thinner than the 7c #114iii). The pale shade is partially the result of the printing plate being slightly under-inked. The first example of this paper we have seen, mint never hinged, fine-very fine centering. Estimate $200, sold for $300.00 plus buyer’s premium.
