Lot 64 — Canada 1859 two cent deep claret rose used VF block of four, sold for $2185

Lot 64Lot 64 Canada #20a 1859 2c deep claret rose Queen Victoria original Block of Four, used, with four crisp target cancels, nice colour, and very fine. Block has been expertly repaired along the vertical perforations and rejoined along the horizontal perforations. A very rare block, and accompanied by a 1995 Canadian Philatelic Expertizing Services certificate. Unitrade CV$2,000, sold for $1,900 plus buyer’s premium.

Extremely fine, a world rarity and worthy of the finest collection. Accompanied by a 1970 A. Diena certificate. Ex-Maurice Burrus (1963) and Dr. Chan Chin Cheung (1995).
