Colours, Shades & Perfs on Small Queens -- 2nd Edition
Manufacturer: BNAPS Books Department
Colours, Shades and Perforations as seen on Blocks of Canada's Small Queens Era, with Cancellation Commentary, Second Edition, 2013 by Forbes, JA (Jack). An in-depth exploration of the wide variety of colours, shades and perforation combinations that occurred in the stamps of the Canadian Small Queens era using, wherever possible, blocks and large multiples to illustrate them. Produced from scanned versions of pages from the First Edition. BNAPS Exhibit Series #68. Spiral, 170 pp. The original print quantity of this book was small because of the labour intensive requirement to match colours before individual pages were printed. While the quantity printed was expected to meet the demand, the book sold out very quickly. In response to requests for additional copies, BNAPS and Jack Forbes have printed a Second Edition of the book using a different procedure. The Second Edition has been created from the best colour photocopies produced for the first edition, not from original exhibit pages. As for the first edition, individual pages were colour matched before printing, but there are small differences between editions. Because less labour was required, the retail price for the Second Edition will be $C100.00 (BNAPS member price $60.00), which is less than the $109.00 charged for the original.
